There can be a major drawback to testing and reviewing some new tech samples, gadgets and accessories, and it's not just knuckling down and writing the reviews, it's knowing WHEN to stop the testing and write them. The thing is, if you write them when you first use them, then the reviews will be full of excitement and positivity. But if you wait until you have been using the items for a few weeks, to really put them through their paces, you run the risk of  shaking out all of that "brand new" magic (that wonder all new things have) and then you can unwittingly unleash all kinds of previously unseen and unknown gremlins, quirks and self imposed disappointments. The reason it is a major drawback, is because from that point onwards, all the reviews will lean way too far toward the "Hmm, it started off great and I really loved it, but now It's just infuriating me, and I would love to see it fly out of the window" camp! I guess that is the real true art of great reviewers; knowing WHEN to stop testing and thereby write the reviews at that perfect, sweet-spot moment, between those "honeymoon" and "Jump up and down on it and throw it out of the window" periods. Here endeth a lesson to myself! :-/
